Do you ever worry about what you say?
Have you ever stop to think for a second how your words might affect other people?
When a song writer gets mad at someone, he or she goes on and writes a song about what that person did or didn't do to them. We've heard them, even memorized them. (*hangs her head...guilty*)
But what about when a writer gets mad?
Do you worry about making a writer mad?
No? Well, perhaps you should. What if said writer goes on ranting about you?
Just imagine. If a songwriter writes a song, a writer will write a whole book about whatever you have done! That's thousands of words!!! and many of them could be not so nice. And you 'provably' deserve them.
However, if it's the other way around and the writer is happy with you, he or she could make you the hero of the story. How cool would that be?!
Just imagine!!
You being the reason and or the inspiration of the next big hit! The next big thing! Now that would be awesome! Everybody would be reading about you, everybody would want to be you, or be with you. You would be famous!
Regardless. Be mindful of what you say... just in case you come across a mean writer. :)
And no, I'm not one of them. I try to be nice... most of the time. I've never written anything bad about anyone and hope to never do it.
This is just a random thought. I hope you read this, get something good out of it and share it.
Until next time, I'll see you around.

Don't do it in dark abandoned places!
"I'm going to explore 'The eye of the dark'." Alana said.
'The eye of the dark' was an old abandoned apartment building in the outskirts of town, and it was a preferred place for teenagers looking to get into trouble. Police had their job cut out for them in the days before Halloween arrived, as some of the 'daring' kids would venture into the old building to do all kinds of mischief.
"If you have the balls you'll follow, but don't sweat it if you don't. I won't tell." She teased at Dale who stood by her side trying to show bravery.
"I'm not scared," Dale responded, "but going in there is plain stupid, and not because of the dumb ghosts stories people tell about this place, but because it is unsafe. Everybody knows it. Everybody knows that place has been closed to the public because it's going to be demolished.
"Ha!" Retorted Alana, "yeah, whatever excuse you can come up with to stay out will be valid." She said looking at him over her shoulder. "Come on," she invited him, "tell me it wouldn't be hot to do it in one of those empty apartments?" she purred.
"You are insane." Dale answered.
Alana let out a chuckle. "If you go in there with me I'll let you do whatever you want to me." She said and winking mischievously at him, dragging her tongue across her upper lip then biting the bottom one. She run a finger up and down his chest enticing him even more.
Dale took a thick swallow trying to control his emotions but his hands didn't show restrain. He pulled her close to his body to let her know what kind of effect she was having on him. The thickening inside his pants made her hum as they kissed passionately.
She crawled through an opening of the barely standing worn out fence; put there by the county police as a way to keep people from breaking in. She walked inside the old apartment building with hesitant Dale tagging along.
"Come on Dale, I got something for you," she called insinuatingly as she lifted up her dress letting him see the strings of her thong. She bent over teasing him again. This time Dale didn't wait, he followed right away.
It was rumored by the locals that that place had been shot down many years back because a massacre had happened, and people said that they would hear noises and people screaming on Halloween, but many attribute it to kids breaking in and acting up.
Alana walked into the building then took off ruining deeper into the hallway climbing a staircase to the right. "Come on Dale! Come find me... I'm going to give you a very good time!" she called.
In the darkness of the hallway, strange shapes and silhouettes seemed to solidify in the corners, watching the intruders. Alana continued walking into one of the abandoned apartments and into a room which it must have been a bedroom because there were some broken drawers a smashed side table and an old bed.
"Ooh! lookie here Dale, there is a bed in here, we won't have to do in on the bare floor." She said biting her bottom lip.
Creaking noises could be heard every now and then from different directions.
Dale walked in hesitantly. Suddenly the sound of a loud thump filled the hallway.
"Jeez Dale, be careful! don't kill yourself trying to find me. I'm not going anywhere." She shouted chuckling.
Alana felt a pair of arms grabbing her by her waist and the full length of a humid body pressing against her from behind.
"Wow, if you sure sweat this much just by climbing one set of stairs, we'll be swimming by the time we get done," she continued laughing.
As one hand caressed one of her breast the other one wondered under her dress. The sensation and the exhilaration of having sex in a dark abandoned place was enticing and mysterious to the her.
"Mmm," she hummed. "Oh, Dale you got something for me?" she asked bringing her hand in between their bodies rubbing at his throbbing private parts.
He turned her around, pulled her dress over her head and went straight for her chest, which gladly received the attention of a warm tongue. Kissing her over and again, and rubbing all the right places, she was totally lost in the sensation and the culmination of relieve she soon would get.
As his lips took hers she smelled a foul oddor. "Eeww Dale, when was the last time you brushed your teeth?" Alana asked.
Her question was answered with what it sounded like a low deep growl. "You really need to pay a visit to the dentist office ASAP."
Standing in the dark and unable to really see anything other than shadows, she continued welcoming the caresses of the two hungry hands all over her body. Heavy kissing and heavy breathing followed by some pleasure moaning coming from her.
With a strong yank, her thong fell down to the floor ripped into pieces. With a push she fell on the bed, his hands held her legs spread apart and right after a violent thrust followed in.
"Oh my, Dale!" she whined, "How rough! but I like it, do it again." she urged. Again and again her wet core was fulfilled as the pounding flesh made a slapping sound and she squirmed laying on the filthy mattress.
As she approached the culmination, a flash of lightening brighten the place enough for her to see his face. She was filled with a combination of satisfaction and horror, when she saw the bloodied disfigured face and blood soaked shirt of the man giving her pleasure as a sharp knife come down to meet her wet chest.
Down the hallway Dale laid dead, his throat sliced in half.
And that my friends, is a good reason not to do the dirty deed in abandoned places. Boo!

Just a random thought.
Alright, let's face it.
Writing is one tough task to accomplish.
Some people say:
'Anybody can write an article, a short story, or even a book.'
I'll have to agree, writing is the easy part, but not everybody has the imagination to create a whole new world filled with new, exciting, or even strange characters.
I must say, writers are pretty AWESOME.
If it wasn't for them the rest of the world would be bored, because even though we all are born with a brain capable of imagination, not everyone learns how to use it.
Not putting anyone down, it's just the way it is.
We all have a talent, and some of us use it the way it is intended. Some of us profit from it but sadly, a lot of us will live with the hope to one day see that dream accomplished.
I'll say, as long as we're dreaming we'll be able to create and share our talent with the rest of the world, if we only dare to jump into the pool of people hungry for the next amazing read. So if you have it, write it, share it. We are waiting for what you have to offer.
Just a bit of encouragement.
I hope you read this, get something useful out of it and share it.
Until next time, I'll see you around.

Road trip
I took a road trip last week. I went to the West Coast.
Okay, it was a one way road trip because I flew one way.
Starting with how interesting it is to watch people, first at the airport. One gets to see people and hear conversations that are from interesting to funny to plain stupid. Hey, not judging, just observing!
I flew to Las Vegas to meet my husband and daughter who drove over there few days earlier.
That place is glittery. Lights, shows, people from everywhere speaking all kinds of languages; it is really FASCINATING! But that place is not for kids, there are way too many things that are not appropriate for minors, including, but not limited to girls walking around practically naked. Sure they are working and that's okay but... party place, not family oriented. Good thing my kid is almost 16 so not too concerned with what was on display for everyone to see. It was funny to see the faces she made when she saw all those strange looking people walking around.
Another thing, Las Vegas is extremely expensive. From having a meal at Bubba Gump's that at a different locations I've paid a third less, same food and all, same amount of people (3), there it was $170.00., to paying $9.00 for a scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice cream (one scoop!) a bit TOO EXTREME! but it was delicious!
Then... from there we drove to Long Beach, CA.,BEAUTIFUL PLACE (I want to move there, lol) Maybe it was out of season, but the ambience there was just relaxing. I'm sure that at the peak of season it must be a busy place.
We had a great meal at a restaurant called Tequila Jack's, it is a Mexican restaurant and the food was amazing even though the music that was playing over the sound system was Salsa and that's Caribean music, kind of odd but it was nice; oh, and the price of the food was way more affordable. (I liked that) So totally recommend you visit that place if you are ever there.
After we left we drove to the Grand Canyon.
My God! it is GRAND! I loved it. I must return with more time to explore, I would love to do some trail walking and that kind of stuff.
I must say driving across country it is a pretty cool adventure, but one must allot more time for the driving, unfortunately we didn't do that and the trip was to a point rushed. :(
A great thing about it though, is that one can use all that time for reading an writing... which I did.
And after so much driving it was good to see my driveway...
my castle is still the best place in the world for this queen!
I hope you read this, get something good out of it and share it.

The Fall Break that changed my mind.
Fall just got here. It's been here for a week but my family have been talking about fall break for over a month.
I've been to and through several states in the North, South, East and West of the US but I will be traveling farther west than ever this time. I'm going to Las Vegas, NV., then farther west to the Sequoia National Park in California because I want to see the giant trees. After that I'll be stopping at the Grand Canyon in Arizona on my way back.
I'll meet my family in Las Vegas since they are going to drive all the way there because they have more time than me so, I'll be flying one way there solo... several days later. Strange way to do things some might say but, that's the only way for now.
They will leave and drive all the way taking the time to stop here and there to see things, I hope. Even though it is a long drive and I have done it all the way to El Paso, TX and back to TN several times, and I'm not too excited about it because again, I've seen it to many times, this time I'd like to do it.
I must admit that things changed dramatically a month ago or so when I found out my youngest brother was diagnosed with cancer.
As of two days ago even while purchasing the airline ticket, I was reluctant to go. Maybe because of the fact that I have several projects at home that need to be done, really unimportant things that can and will wait.
What opened my eyes was talking to my sister who lives in Mexico. What she said to me really hit me. She told me my youngest brother had told her how the diagnose change his perception of and for life. How he thought about the things he had been putting off because of work or because of the dumbest reasons.
Up until that moment I've seen life differently, but now, I'm eager to go and see and do things I haven't done. I want to spend time with my family and enjoy as much as I can while I'm able to, and be grateful for it.
I know at times we disagree but who doesn't. So... I'm blessed in many ways and way more than I deserve to.
Now I understand the meaning of living for today.
I hope you read this, get something good out of it and share it.
Until next time... I'll see you around.

What I like comes with it.
Some people like to paint, draw, write (me), etc.
I'm going to be honest, I like speed... a lot. And what comes with the territory?... injuries.
I know speeding is a bad thing to do but I just like it. It is in me, badly! Driving down the Interstate sometimes I catch myself easily going 10 miles above the speed limit... OFTEN!
Stop, don't be so fast to judge me, most of us are guilty of that.
Why you might ask? truly I have no valid answer other than just to get where I might be going as quickly as I can.
Why you might ask? again I have no valid answer.
I consider myself a pretty decent, safe driver; faster than I should driver, but safe nonetheless.
But even with all the precautions accidents will happen. (not talking about me, thank God) I'm talking about a friend of mine.
You see, we race go carts. Personally I don't do it, but we have an amateur team and it is a weekend thing so long as the weather allows it.
Yesterday we went to www.beavercreekspeedway.us One of our guys wrecked and got injured. He ended up sore all over and with two broken ribs. Of course we take all the necessary precautions; gloves, jacket, helmet... etc.
You would think, it's just a go cart, right? yes it is just a go cart, but he was going 60 mph. So yeah, it was pretty bad.
And here you can get a bit more info about the sport www.beavercreekspeedway.com
I've seen awful wrecks on the interstate, and I know as much as I drive, because we drive between TN to KY, AL, GA., it could happen to me mainly since I'm often driving a bit too fast, whether my personal vehicle or puling a trailer full of racing equipment, which I've done a few times. I should slow down, but it is a bad habit and bad habits are hard to break.
Needles to say after what happened last night I will try my best to SLOW DOWN!
I know that when I get to where I'm going, the place I'm going to will be there waiting on me.
We all make promises about this and that, like not mixing any of the following with the wheel and speed:
-drinking
-texting
-putting make up on
-reading
-writing
-eating
...you name it the list is long. So I will try to do my best to get rid of that horrible habit. But the outcome it is not guaranteed... sorry... like many of us out there, I like speed.
Meanwhile I'll be doing one of my favorite things to do beside speed, writing.
I hope you read this, get something good out of it and share it.
Until next time... I'll see you around.

To blog or not to blog... about racism.
That is the question!
It is hard to come up with a subject worthy of the readers attention. With so many bloggers out there, who is going to read yours? Your mom? Your neighbor?... maybe!
I often find myself debating on whether or not to even bother on writing anything, as there is not much I can or want to say.
But today I thought I would vent about racism. Don't worry, I'm going to keep it short and sweet.
What I find hard to believe is why we still have that ill feeling amongst us? Why can't we get just along? It is heartbreaking to hear people call names and snob at others because of race, color, etc...
About two days ago, I personally confronted a racist person who unfortunately for me is part of my own family (somehow). This particular person had the audacity to call me just to confirm if my daughter was dating a 'black guy'.
This person struggled to even find the right words to ask said question. For a moment I thought this 'bearer of ill feelings' was going to give me some kind of bad news, and that was the reason for the struggle; but no, the 'problem' was as simple as the color of the skin.
Being Hispanic myself, I find it difficult to understand, maybe because I don't have the typical look and perhaps because of my family tree comes from Spain, somehow I look a bit more white than many of my fellow Hispanics.
This person asked me what I thought about it, and since I'm married to an Anglo Saxon, he also asked what my husband thought. (Now, my daughter is full blooded Latina... but that's another story).
I told this dear (somehow) relative of mine, that as many of us out there fortunately think, the color of the skin did not matter to me. What mattered was the substance of the person.
Needless to say, after I confidently voiced my opinion to this person the point of view miraculously changed and suddenly, this 'concerned relative' had an incoming phone call that needed to be attended... right.
The funny thing is that, one of this aforementioned person's children is dating another undesired human being (according to the previous mentioned mentality)
I'm sorry but, since when does this poor excuse of a human being has a higher level to the rest of us? It sickens me to no end.
Why do we do it? What is so wrong with people from different races, cultures, you name it, to be accepted as the most normal thing in this world. Why is people so afraid of it?
What gives us the upper hand if we are 'white'? The fact that I grew up in a different country, with different views and beliefs gives me perhaps, a lack of understanding when it comes to this particular subject. Still, it gets old!
Enough! Lets get over it! It is time!
Okay, there it is. I've vented. I hope you find the time to read this, get something useful out of it and share it.
Until next time... I'll see you around.
